چکیده
Millipedes are known by their importance in ecological systems, although some species regarded as agricultural pests poly- or monocultures. Canola (Brassicaceae: Brassica spp.) is an important feedstock for biodiesel production and a potential ingredient the food industry, but with several arthropod causing damage to its cultivation. In this perspective, study reports still unknown relation of millipedes cultivation canola. Pitfall traps were plotted napus L. var. oleifera Passo Fundo, Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil, checked weekly during years 2015 2016. A total 66 individuals captured 41 2016, all belonging families Chelodesmidae Paradoxosomatidae (Polydesmida). The most abundant sampled both was Brasilodesmus austrocrucis Hoffman, 1981, 100 specimens total. Catharosomatini sp. recorded 4 specimens, triseriatus (Attems, 1931) 2 Oncoleptodesmus uniconus only one specimen. present study, not reported any crops, suggesting that may be considered

Millipedes of Cyprus (Myriapoda: Diplopoda).
The paper presents an annotated catalogue of the millipedes (Diplopoda) of Cyprus, based on literature scrutiny and on hitherto unpublished material. A total of 21 species belonging to 14 genera, 9 families and 7 orders are recorded from the island. Three species are regarded as new to science, but are not formally described, and the status of another three is yet to be clarified. Pachyiulus cy...
متن کاملMillipedes and centipedes in German greenhouses (Myriapoda: Diplopoda, Chilopoda)
A review is given of all the literature records of millipedes and centipedes that have been found in German greenhouses together with additional records for 29 such sites. Species lists are given for 46 greenhouses investigated throughout Germany. Thirty-five diplopod and 18 chilopod species were found to occur in greenhouses, of which 15 (3 Chilopoda, 12 Diplopoda) are restricted to this type ...
متن کاملDistribution of millipedes (Myriapoda, Diplopoda) along a forest interior – forest edge – grassland habitat complex
We studied the distribution of millipedes in a forest interior-forest edge-grassland habitat complex in the Hajdúság Landscape Protection Area (NE Hungary). The habitat types were as follows: (1) lowland oak forest, (2) forest edge with increased ground vegetation and shrub cover, and (3) mesophilous grassland. We collected millipedes by litter and soil sifting. There were overall 30 sifted lit...
متن کاملBarcoding Fauna Bavarica: Myriapoda – a contribution to DNA sequence-based identifications of centipedes and millipedes (Chilopoda, Diplopoda)
We give a first account of our ongoing barcoding activities on Bavarian myriapods in the framework of the Barcoding Fauna Bavarica project and IBOL, the International Barcode of Life. Having analyzed 126 taxa (including 122 species) belonging to all major German chilopod and diplopod lineages, often using four or more specimens each, at the moment our species stock includes 82% of the diplopods...
متن کاملOccurrence and assemblage composition of millipedes (Myriapoda, Diplopoda) and terrestrial isopods (Crustacea, Isopoda, Oniscidea) in urban areas of Switzerland
Terrestrial isopods and millipedes, members of the invertebrate macro-decomposer guild, were collected through pitfall traps in three Swiss cities (Zurich, Lucerne, Lugano). A total of 7,198 individuals of 17 isopod species (7093 ind.), and 10 millipede species (105 ind.) were captured. Besides the Alpine endemic isopod (Trichoniscus alemannicus) and millipede (Cylindroiulus verhoeffi), urban a...
